Toby Marshall, un ami photographe, a pris cette magnifique photo d'un prunier mei sous la neige. Il l'a prise au Japon où l'arbre est connu sous le nom de ume.

Meishile (梅詩樂 in classical characters) is my Chinese name.
Mei Shile means "Poetic joy of the mei plum tree". The mei plum tree is a tree that grows in Far-Eastern countries, where it is the symbol of resistance against extreme odds. Its flowers blossom under snow in February, the coldest time of the year. These are the three Chinese characters in the cartouche above. This cartouche is my electronic signature for computer graphics works. In Chinese, these characters can also be pronounced Mei Shiyue, that is "Poetic music of the mei plum tree", because joy and music are written with the same character, since music enchants.

Toby Marshall, a friend also photographer, took the gorgeous shot of a mei plum tree under snow that we see above. He took it in Japan where the tree is called ume.
